This work involved designing and constructing a mural over a large area that involved a stage. I had previously taken photos of the whole area and taken measurements. Once the design was completed it was scanned into the computer to work on creating a digital image.

When I finished, it appeared as if you were looking at the mural already completed. By using this process it allowed the client to view the whole design before making the final decision to go ahead with the project.

The artwork

The mural was created using Totara native timber of New Zealand , custom board and enamel paints. Not all artwork could be used in this method but it demonstrates how the use of the computer can assist the process from concept to completion.
