elder, cultural ambassador, musician and teacher. He is known throughout
Aotearoa New Zealand as a man who can bring people together through
his leadership, music and humor.

Te Taru White is the Kaihatu (joint
leader and curator) of Te Papa, Aotearoa New Zealand's national
museum. He travels around the world speaking about how museums can
bring cultures together, sharing stories and developing understanding
and appreciation for other peoples.

Trevor Moeke, is a Maori elder and
community leader who is a key figure working for Maori community
development, higher education, language revitalization and land
rights. Trevor travels worldwide representing Maori interests, working
with indigenous peoples to create networks and share knowledge.

Karetu: No Man is an Island
Timoti Karetu is considered a master
of the Maori language. He was one of the main figures behind the
push to revitalize the Maori language in the 1970's. He is still
very active in the language movement and runs one of the premier
language and cultural programs in Aotearoa New Zealand.
